Welcome to Tornadogenesis
Rachael Sigler's Homepage for severe weather

A little history:
I received my computer in August 2004 with the intention to put Fedora on it and get used to Linux a bit more, and then turn it into a server over winter break. That did not work, so I resolved to putting Redhat 9 on it. I am getting all my geek tendencies from my computer wizard brother, Robert. After meeting my boyfriend Bob, the geeky tendencies have increased exponentially. When my brother came home for Christmas, he put Gentoo on the server for me as well as Apache.

I'm not quite able to do all this stuff on my own...yet. I hope in about a year or two to blow the whole system away and rebuild it all by myself. That is my goal. I bought the domain tornadogenesis a while back and have been waiting for the server to be functional. Until Christmas it was acting as a second desktop. This was fine for the time being though because it meant that I had a Linux box, finally. I named the server "triple-point". You may wonder what the odd names are.

I am a Meteorology undergraduate student at the University of Oklahoma in the School of Meteorology. I am in my 4th year, and plan to graduate in May 2007. This server is going to act as a weather tool to my chase partner, Bob, and myself. Bob is in his second year as a graduate student at OU as well. He is pursuing two masters degrees: Meteorology, and Computer Science. He graduated from OU in May 2005 with a B.S. in Meteorology.

You can visit my SoM webpage and see some of the stuff I have on there. I will be using this page to link back to my SoM webpage where I will be running Gempak scripts. I want to be able to get all the data the would ever be necessary on a chase day or regular day, to be right at my fingertips. I will soon have my SoM page be nothing but scripts, and have all other fun weather stuff like pictures, videos, chase log, etc. on this webpage. Check out some cool weather links.
